Book My Study Abroad (BMSA) is a vision of edupreneur Hiren Raval who has been in the space of the education industry for well over a decade-spanning geographies. Raval focuses on the development of skills or attributes that enable the realization of opportunity, as his approach to education entrepreneurship is to achieve increased responsiveness to the learners/clients. Raval understands that entrepreneurship is also being developed as a way of developing skills such as risk-taking and problem-solving that facilitate the achievement of life goals and in education. His founded institutes focused on identify emerging opportunities and create the next generation of high-impact education programs, products, and services.
Apart from institution building, Raval’s core area has been student recruitment into a wide array of programs, both higher education, and vocational training, dotting across geographies. Since 2007 he has recruited more than 5000 students for various UK universities and institutes at all levels, mediated through his series of London-based startups such as Veer consultancy, CGC Overseas, Cyber graph consultancy, and Braintrek Consultancy.
The idea of infusing entrepreneurship into education has spurred much enthusiasm in the last few decades, something Raval always leveraged on. A myriad of effects has been stated to result from this, such as his passion for institution building, job creation for many, and increased societal resilience, but also individual growth, increased school engagement and improved equality. Putting this idea into practice has however posed significant challenges for Raval in his last 14-years journey, alongside the stated positive effects.
Relying on practice-based learning and listening to customers all the time, Raval acquired the necessary knowledge, skills, and networks over the period to create new schools, launch ed-tech ventures, and drive innovation in educational organizations in the UK, Spain, and India. Having his feet on the round Raval equipped himself with the necessary expertise, tools, and experiences necessary to chart new solutions in education. His cross-cultural experience and ability to take risk provided a strong foundation in education, business, design, and entrepreneurship that focused on increasing access, equity, and impact.
